I’ve been a Documentary Photographer in Whitby, North Yorkshire since 2012, professionally photographing events of all types.

Documentary photography is my great passion. Capturing real life moments as opposed to organised, posed or modelled photography.

I love to capture Truth & Beauty.

A documentary photographer is all about telling the story. From start to finish, I am there capturing as many special moments that can then be displayed to your audience so they can view the true nature of the occasion.

Most guests at the events are un-aware that I have captured the moment and seeing the images come as a complete surprise.

Matthew came along to photograph the beach sweep and to record the launch of a 2 minute beach clean board with Whitby beach Sweep on behalf of Totally Socially. He spent time getting to know the group during that time. We were very happy with the outcome of the photography. Thank you for coming along.

Matthew did our wedding photography and he was brilliant. He was calm, relaxed and friendly, all of our guests commented on what a nice guy he was and his assistant was excellent-she thought of all the little things like holding my dress when we walked on the lawn. We were both so nervous on the day but everything was handled with a calm professionalism that really put us at ease. Extremely reasonably priced too, 10 out of 10.

Matt photographed our wedding and he was absolutely fantastic! We love our photos and Matt made us feel so relaxed and managed to take a great mixture of posed and action shots to really capture the joy of the day. We would absolutely recommend Matt for any event and will be asking him to take more photos for us in future!
